We're sorry to learn that you have symptoms you're concerned about, and I imagine this is a worrying time for you. The signs and symptoms of lymphoma are more commonly associated with other, less serious conditions, like an infection, for example. We would suggest to anyone who is worried about symptoms, to contact their doctor to talk these through, and to get advice, so we hope you will feel able to do this, with a view of seeking reassurance. We hope the information is helpful, and that you're able to chat soon with your doctor. We send our best wishes, and hope your symptoms settle down soon.

We'd suggest going back to speak with your doctor, if you're not clear on what may be happening for you. The symptoms of lymphoma are considered to be very common symptoms, that are usually linked to other conditions, less serious conditions, lymphoma would be more rare. However, it is important to continue to seek guidance if you're not comfortable with how things have been left. We send our best wishes, and hope you will feel able to reach out to your doctor.

I was sorry to learn of your breast cancer diagnosis, and that you have also been diagnosed with lymphoma. I imagine that this may be a difficult time. Very often, why someone has developed lymphoma will be unknown, but we know that it won't be something that you've done, or not done, that has caused this; lifestyle factors are not generally linked to lymphoma. There can be risk factors that can mean someone may go on to develop lymphoma, but the risk is still very small. We have some information on what we do know about the causes of lymphoma, and this can be found here: lymphoma-action.org.uk/about-lymphoma-what-lymphoma/causes-and-risk-factors-lymphoma#otherfactors You'll see this gives details on cell changes that can happen in our bodies. It's really natural to think about what may have caused this, and I hope our information the causes may be of some help. We send our best wishes to you.

If testing is required, it usually starts with a blood test to give an overall picture of general health, and further tests may depend on the symptoms, and how you are affected. They can include scans or biopsy. You can read more about symptoms here: lymphoma-action.org.uk/symptoms-of-lymphoma and about tests here: lymphoma-action.org.uk/about-lymphoma/tests-scans-and-staging-lymphoma if you feel this may be helpful. We send our best wishes to you.

I have 3 that I can feel 2 small ones that are less than a inch big and one by my ear but I’ve had them for a few years and no other symptoms but I’m still nervous about them

We're sorry to hear you are experiencing these symptoms, and it sounds understandable you are nervous about them. Lumps and bumps can appear for many reasons, and are more commonly caused by other less serious conditions, or are nothing of concern. However, we would always suggest seeking medical advice if symptoms do not go away within 2 - 3 weeks, or if you are concerned. You may wish to read our information here about symptoms: lymphoma-action.org.uk/symptoms-of-lymphoma We send our best wishes to you.

Hello doctor i have a lump on right side of my back neck which moves when i press and is painless. It’s been there for over 3 months but i have no symptoms at all. One thing i noticed is i get sore throat frequently than i used too but it disappears after 1-2 days. I am 18.

We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing some symptoms. The symptoms associated with lymphoma do however more commonly occur for less serious reasons than lymphoma. Our suggestion is that if your symptoms last for longer than 2-3 weeks, get worse or are bothering you, you think about speaking to your GP.
